| WASHINGTON, DC - A lovely courtyard
effect was created by elevating the landscape beds and installing a seat
height retaining wall and a flagstone walkway. Two large slabs of stone
were mounted to the top of the wall to serve as built-in benches. The
benches are centered on the garden focal point which is a new water feature
with three simple water jets. The combination of a grade separated plant
bed and incorporating thorny plants along the edges, helped keep the puppy
out of the landscape and from tracking mud indoors. |
