BURNET / DEUTCH GARDEN

ARLINGTON, VA - The houses' orientation to one side of the property and the addition of a breakfast room (seen in the right mid-ground), allowed for the creation of a series of garden rooms. The "Oval Garden" is accessed from the street through a custom-made garden arbor/ gate. The sunken garden in the background was excavated out to create the second garden room bounded by a curved dry-stacked stone wall.
